Winning Delaware’s 2017 Small Woman-Owned Business of
the Year has been one of the most proudest moments in my career.
To my surprise, being recognized for work in Sickle Cell Disease (SCD)
by the business community brings great joy to my heart. Sickle Cell is a
Rare Disease. Without public and private resources, TOVA is challenged
to sustain programs that increase access to high quality of care.
Creating an innovative model of care challenges the medical community
to utilize a variety of healthcare professionals in a team approach. I
want to thank SCORE Delaware and the SBA for their mentorship and
support. My advice to entrepreneurs is to have tenacity despite facing
numerous barriers. Never give up on your goals and keep on grinding.
